Terrabrowser is an internet browser for satellite photos and topographical maps with built in digest for Garmin GPS receivers. Download waypoints from your GPS to exhibit on the maps, edit them, upload new waypoints to your receiver. Maps are obtained from the Microsoft Terra Server which serves data provided by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Includes extensive bookmarking digest, picture cache, and many other features. Terrabrowser aims to be compatible with the rest of the GPS humans, so it uses the XML based GPX file touchstone which allows easily exchange (file, copy/paste, puff & pretermit) with other GPS programs for Macintosh, Linux, Windows, etc. which digest this format. The NMEA touchstone protocol is also supported which allows for a "populate tracking" mood to exhibit the user's realtime position on a satellite map (cached or not). Note that this alpha edition is a ended rewrite in Cocoa and is not fully functional - the GPS features are not heretofore ended, and other features contain bugs or own not been transfered over from edition 1.1 heretofore. What's New: Version 1.5a5: Added "extremely" zoom option - you can forthwith zoom in to 0.25 m resolution (twice as far as before) on urban area (colorise) maps! Fixed bug which prevented searching in a waypoint document from working until you clicked on on the corresponding tabloid. Internet edition checking should forthwith work correctly. Added a few new built in bookmarks (Space Needle, Buckingham Fountain).
